My Daughters, 5 years old Lydia and 7 years old Olivia, don't speak or understand Turkish at all. We speak in English in our house-hold. As a Turkish mum I believed in myself that I certainly can teach my children in Turkish. I tried to speak to them in Turkish a year ago and failed for a number of reasons. ; my daughters were resisting and running away from me every time I spoke to them in Turkish. I was finding it very hard to deal with and I felt very sorry for them. Then all become impossible for me. I made all sorts of excuses. Of course there was never the right time to teach them in Turkish - I was too comfortable in English ! It was an afford and didn't want to make it. Fey Peyman
Under Mrs. Nazife’s supervision during 2 years, Maya improved her Turkish reading and writing skills impressively. Plus, it looks they mutually build a healthy and warm-hearted relationship, as Maya really likes her teaching style. This really helped us a lot during her adaptation period, especially in her very first year in Dubai.Elcin Deryal
I am writing this message to express my appreciation about Eren’s progress in Turkish lessons , he likes the lesson and the way of learning. He improved a lot in reading and as well as writing. Today I had the opportunity to listen to a part of the lesson since I am at home as well. I really appreciate to see the involvement of kids and how they were willing to participate. They were having fun and obviously enjoying their lesson. I would like to thank Miss Nazife for all of your efforts.Nusret Gultekin
